Green (not yet amber) waves of grain - in Iowa

Approximately 39 volunteers are planning to leave from Ames, Iowa and head to Hallie, Kentucky tomorrow. The cornfields in Iowa are tasseled out. The photograph shows a typical field of hybrid seed corn.

Update ...

David Ferree gave this update yesterday ...
The shed is substantially complete ... the door and remaining siding have been installed. There is some wood trim and painting work to be completed. Thought that you'd like to know.

Shed as of 06.30.2005 ... almost ready for the July 5th backyard barbeque at the Larson-Ferree's

David Ferree reports ... "We have finished shingling, sided the south side and put in the windows.Right now things are on hold until we remove a large piece of a treethat fell on it during the storms the other day. I don't think there isany damage but won't know until we can look."

Randy temporarily braces the wall at the end of the first day (morning) of the shed training project. Lori and Max supervise.
